What it is

A focused medical treatment, delivered the way the body actually absorbs it.

IV Hydration Therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes, and key nutrients directly into your bloodstream through an IV. Unlike drinking water, which has to pass through your digestive system before your body can use it, IV fluids bypass that process entirely and go straight where your body needs them most.

When you are seriously dehydrated, whether from illness, heat, alcohol, or intense exertion, your body cannot rehydrate fast enough on its own. The digestive system slows down, you may struggle to keep fluids down, and recovery drags out for days. IV hydration restores your fluid balance in about an hour, which is why hospitals and athletic training facilities have used the same technique for decades.

At Urgent Care of Oconee, IV Hydration Therapy is one clinical service with one clear purpose. You walk in, complete a brief clinical consult, sit comfortably while our clinical team places your IV, and walk out about an hour later feeling rehydrated. No menu of upgrade bags, no add-ons. Just real hydration care, delivered in a medical setting at all three of our locations across Athens, Watkinsville, and Madison.

IV hydration is a hydration treatment, not a cure. It can help relieve symptoms tied to dehydration so you feel better faster while your body recovers from the underlying condition.

Always tell our clinical team about any medications, supplements, or conditions, including pregnancy. We will review everything before your session and recommend against IV hydration if it is not appropriate for your situation.
